Kellie Martin is an American actor and actress on television and film. She is best known for her roles in the roles of Christy Huddleston in the 'period drama' series 'Christy Christy', Rebecca Thatcher in the family drama 'Life Goes On as well as Lucy Knight in the medical drama series 'ER'. She is also known as the star of the Hailey Dean Mystery television series. Martin, the daughter of a department store seller and a kindergarten teacher began her career acting at the age of seven when her aunt who worked as the nanny of actor Michael Landon's children was able to help Martin land a role in 1983's show "Father Murphy". Following her graduation from Yale University in 1982, Martin decided to pursue her acting career more seriously. She was able to land important roles on television as well as big screens. Martin is a professional actor, and a skilled photographer and dancer, has been working in the field for the past 20 years. Her sister, who died due to Lupus at the age of 19, was the inspiration behind her becoming the Lupus the national spokesperson.
